DNS settings explained

DNS (Domain Name System) connects your domain name to your website hosting.

When someone visits your domain, DNS directs them to the correct server.

Common DNS records

A Record

An A record connects your domain to an IP address.

Example:

example.com → server IP

CNAME Record

A CNAME record connects a subdomain to another domain.

Example:

www → yourwebsite.com

TXT Records

TXT records are used for verification or email services.

Important notes

Changes to DNS settings must be made at your domain registrar, not inside your website dashboard.
