How to connect payment methods to your store

Before you can start accepting payments on your website, you’ll need to connect your payment processor (like Stripe or PayPal).

Because Create A Shoppe uses Surecart for checkout, this setup is done a little differently than other platforms, but don’t worry, we’ve made it super simple 😊

Why Do I Need to Request a Connection?

Unlike some platforms, payment accounts cannot be connected directly inside your website dashboard.

Instead, we generate a secure connection link for you. This keeps everything safe, clean, and properly set up for your store.

Step 1: Request Your Payment Connection Link

  1. Log in to your website dashboard
  2. Look for Support in your admin menu
  3. Fill out the New Request form
  4. Send a message like this:

“Hi! I’d like to connect my payment methods for my store.”

Step 2: Check Your Email for Your Connection Link

Once we receive your request, we’ll send you a secure connection link for your payment processor.

This may include:

  • Stripe (for credit/debit cards)
  • PayPal (optional)

Step 3: Complete the Connection

  1. Click the connection link we send you
  2. Follow the steps to log in or create your payment account
  3. Approve the connection

This usually takes just a few minutes.

✅ Step 4: Start Accepting Payments

Once connected, your store is ready to go 🎉

You can now:

  • Accept payments on your products
  • Receive payouts directly to your bank account
  • Start selling immediately

💡 Helpful Tips

  • We recommend connecting Stripe first for the smoothest checkout experience
  • Make sure your business and banking details are accurate during setup
  • If you plan to sell subscriptions or digital products, Stripe is required
